There are five Persephone audiobooks: Good Evening, Mrs Craven: the Wartime Stories of Mollie Panter-Downes read by Lucy Scott; The Making of a Marchioness by Frances Hodgson-Burnett, also read by Lucy Scott; Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day by Winifred Watson read by Frances McDormand; Cheerful Weather for the Wedding by Julia Strachey read by Miriam Margolyes; and a selection of stories from Midsummer Night in the Workhouse by Diana Athill read by the author.

Three of these audiobboks – Good Evening, Mrs Craven, Cheerful Weather for the Wedding and Midsummer Night in the Workhouse – are available from us on cd(s) for £8 plus £2 postage: please telephone 0207 242 9292 to order one of them.

PLEASE NOTE: after a couple of years struggling to have our audiobooks on the persephonebooks.co.uk website we have been defeated – for reasons to do with download complications, VAT, royalties and general time-consumingness in the context of a very small office. However, you may buy each one from itunes (eg. here is the link to Cheerful Weather) and audible.co.uk (eg. here is the link for Midsummer Night in the Workhouse). And we are hoping that during 2015 our five audiobooks will also begin to be downloadable from the Hive, WorderyWaterstones and Foyles' websites.

Also, there are free audiobooks of William – and Englishman here, of Fidelity here, of Reuben Sachs here, of The Making of a Marchioness here and of The Shuttle here.

And The Garden Party and Other Stories (some of which are in The Montana Stories) is available from Silksound Books read by Lindsay Duncan here.

And of course there are three films of our books (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Cheerful Weather for the Wedding and The Making of a Marchioness, re-titled The Making of a Lady), all three are available to buy eg. here and here: and from us for £10 per dvd, although not online – please email or telephone.
